Accreditations

Impact, Certified to Deliver!

CHAS Elite accreditation means that we were certified to the Common Assessment Standard (CAS). To achieve this level of accreditation, an organisation must demonstrate the highest ethical, financial, quality & health & safety standards. CAS compliance is a requisite pre-qualification for many public sector bodies and responsible contractors - and a reflection of our company's best practice.

The Common Assessment Standard also called "CHAS Elite", is described as: "the UK construction industry’s pre-eminent prequalification system". It is the most comprehensive accreditation programme CHAS offers, and covers 13 key aspects of risk management. To gain CHAS approval, independent assessors carried out a thorough audit, covering 13 different areas of risk management.

SSIP — which stands for Safety Schemes in Procurement — is not an accreditation in itself. SSIP is an umbrella organisation that pulls together several different health and safety schemes and combines them to create a single accreditation process: SSIP accreditation. SSIP is approved and recognised by the Health and Safety Executive. CHAS is a founding member of the SSIP community
